About Passion Unleashed
Passion Unleashed is a homegrown talk series that is targeted to become the Asian equivalent of the widely popular “Ted.com” talk series
The vision of Passion Unleashed is “To empower individuals to reignite their passion and make a positive change in themselves and society.”
Passion Unleashed is an inspirational talk series that features distinguished speakers including world-class business leaders, politicians, pioneers, social activists and more.
Launched in August 2012, this non-profit series is a unique platform with guest speakers sharing how they pursued their dreams and achieved success and happiness in their lives as well as made positive impact to the society. Held monthly in collaboration with Singapore Management University, the objective is to create a positive culture among working professionals and aspiring youths about finding their passion in life and pursuing a holistic and fulfilling work/life approach, thus making positive changes in themselves and the broader community.
Passion Unleashed is a platform for genuine stories. Speakers share key pages of their lives which are significant to them. They touch the audience because they share from their hearts. Audience learn about what it takes to overcome challenges and get inspired to start thinking and crafting steps towards making a positive change in their lives and/or to those around them.
Passion Unleashed is held every third Tuesday of the month.

Resident Artiste and Ensemble: Iris Koh and Butterfly Dream 梦蝶
Iris Koh, songwriter, musician and entrepreneur is passionate about Music and has given her whole life to perfecting her art. In her career as a musical director and musician, she was the Artistic Director of the launch of President’s Challenge (2006), won the Most Promising Choir Award at the International Choir Competition in Shah Alam for The Cantilena Girls’ Choir (CHIJ OLGC) (2005) and winner of the Sound of Music Von Trapp Family Singers (2005). In 2010, she also performed an original composition about Women and their shoes at the TEDx Women event in Singapore and was the Musical Director for Singapore’s first television Musical, School House Rockz.
She believes that Music has the power to reach deep within a person and help them to express what they cannot otherwise express in words. She hopes to inspire people through her music and bring much needed comfort, strength hope and joy to the world in her songs.
Butterfly Dream 梦蝶 came together for the first ever concert in January 2013 and is made up of Iris Koh (Piano), Stella Wu (Cello) and Grace Han (Flute). Since then, they have been invited to be the resident ensemble for Passion Unleashed.
Stella Wu is an accomplished cellist from Taiwan and has won many awards and scholarships as a cellist. Some of the highlights in her career and awards include the winner of the National Cello Competition (2009) • Winner of Tainan National University of the Arts Chamber Music Competition (String Quartet): 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2009 • Winner of Tainan National University of the Arts Concerto Competition: 2009 • Winner of Tainan National University of the Arts Concert tour in Taiwan: 2007 • Recipient of Tainan National University of the Arts Scholarship: 2006, 2008 and 2011
Grace Han left Korea at the age of 15 to follow her parent's work and started to live in various countries including the Philippines, Australia, and Thailand. She started playing flute since 13 and entered a music college in Australia until the age of 18. Although not a professional flutist now, she enjoys playing the flute very much as this helps her to express herself, make friends and to keep her love for music going strong.
The Butterfly Dream 梦蝶 is bonded by a common love for Music and the desire to share this with people. Through this journey, they have become great friends who encourage one another to be their best. They are always on the lookout for other musicians to join them in spreading their wings and sharing their message of a better world with others.
